Our Founders
DogBlog is the weblog of dogstuff.com, and the place where we’ll put all kinds of information about rescue and dogs…and yep, sometimes, even the dogstuff we’re selling when we think there’s a need to talk more about our merchandise to the canine-loving community.
We got into this business (originally as “Source Menagerie”) because we love dogs – our own and other peoples’, purebreds and mixed breeds, family dogs and dogs with jobs, big ones and little ones, puppies and old dogs.
We’ve bred and raised dogs for 28 years and helped rescue scores that we didn’t breed. Some have gone on to be national champions in conformation, and some have earned titles in agility, obedience and field work. A number have gone to careers of service to the blind and disabled, or to search and rescue duties. All of them, first and foremost, though, are the loving companions of some lucky humans.

Do you currently conduct psychotherapy with a dog present in your
private practice? If so, please continue reading!
My name is Caroline Date and I am a Psy. D. student working on my
doctoral dissertation at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA.
My dissertation is titled “The Use of a Dog in Individual Treatment in
a Private Practice Setting.”
My survey intends to shed light on how therapists’ make the decision
bring a dog into the therapy room and their observations about the
dog’s impact on treatment.
I would be very grateful if you were willing to complete the survey.
If interested, please click on the link below. Upon completion, click
“submit” and it will be sent back to me anonymously through “Survey
Gizmo.”
Also, if you know of other therapists in private practice who bring
their dogs with them while practicing individual therapy, and if you
think they might be interesting and willing to participate in this
research, please forward this request to them or send me their contact
information.
If you have any questions or further interest in this topic, please do
not hesitate to email me.
Thank you.
