A New Breed of Police Dog?

The Los Angeles and Glendale police departments, who have long depended on German and Belgian breeds for their work, are trying out Jindo dogs. An official “national treasure” of South Korea, the dogs arrived there via Mongolian armies in the 13th century.

The Los Angeles Times has the story of two LAPD dog trainers who recently traveled to South Korea to assess several puppies for their K-9 potential.
