A scene from the original Broadway production, with just one dog
The bright lights of the stage are nothing new to Joanne Wilson.
The dog trainer for the Broadway adaptation of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, now on tour in Arizona, Wilson is a one-time circus performer. She’s responsible for choreographing the showstopper scene in which a pack of dogs runs onstage and chases the bad guys away.
Wilson has been working with dogs since she was 11. The Arizona Republic has more, including her secrets of training and what happens when a dog doesn’t follow its on-stage directions.
