Dogfighting Raid Nets 127 Dogs

Authorities in North Carolina raided the Wildside Kennels on Wednesday. They seized 127 dogs and arrested three people for running a dogfighting ring.

The kennel’s apparent owner, Ed Faron, has a previous conviction for dogfighting. [Shouldn't there be a law prohibiting someone with a dogfighting conviction from owning or operating a kennel?]

The raid came after a three-year investigation by law enforcement, animal control, and the Humane Society. Owning a dog for the purpose of fighting is a felony in North Carolina.
