Dogs and dog lovers gathered in San Mateo last week for the annual Splash Dog competition.
An athlete on the fly
The premise is simple: throw a chew toy off a dock while a dog flings itself in pursuit, and see who goes farthest.

The humans in attendance get the pleasure of watching some great performances while enjoying the company of fellow dog enthusiasts.
And the dogs? They just have fun.
