Jon Tumilson's dog Hawkeye lies by his casket at Tumilson's funeral. Tumilson was one of 22 Navy SEALs killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan earlier this month.
So central was Hawkeye to Jon Tumilson’s life that he preceded Tumilson’s family up the aisle at his funeral.
And then, as Jon’s friend Scott Nichols approached the stage of the school gymnasium where the service was being held and prepared to speak, Hawkeye laid down one last time at his master’s side.
