Speaking of winter sports and dogs, here’s another one that’s new to me – maybe you’ve heard of it.
As the name suggests, skijoring does involve skis. And dogs.
This is one of those cases where a picture (or two) is worth lots and lots of words:

So there you go. Never mind the dog sled; just strap on some skis, hitch up your dogs, and let ‘er rip!
Skijoring started in Scandinavia and has been popular in Alaska for years, but is rapidly spreading to other parts of the US and the world.
