Therapy Teams are Made, not Born

Reporter Sharon Peters of Colorado describes how she and her rescue dog, Jasper, went through the training process to become a therapy team.

Jasper’s an Australian shepherd/border collie mix with all the energy and curiosity that entails (don’t miss his trip to the top of the refrigerator), so making the cut as a therapy dog was not a sure thing. Jasper’s own harsh history before being rescued only increases his hypersensitivity; Peters expects his therapy work to be healing for him as well.
